A brick building near the river in New Orleans, Louisana, with graffitti that reads YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
New Orleans morning light

In November, I flew to New Orleans for The American Studies Association's annual meeting, on the theme The Roof Is On Fire. I got to spend some quality time with conference friends new and old, and gave a talk based on some relatively personal thoughts about Black / Asian American solidarity in my own family. I'm hoping to work this material up into something new.
